Dorothy Elizabeth Spitler Williford, age 80, of Strasburg passed away Friday, November 8, 2013 at Rocky Mount Health & Rehab, Rocky Mount, VA. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Stover Memorial Chapel with Rev. Aaron Fitch officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Strasburg. Mrs. Williford was born October 15, 1933 in the Millwood Community of Clarke County, the daughter of the late Charles and Lily Bradfield Spitler. She was a homemaker and the wife of the late John C. Williford, Sr. Surviving are her daughter, Lynn W. Tevalt and husband, Richard of Middletown; her son, John C. Williford of Rocky Mount; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Allen Williford; a brother, Charles Spitler; two daughters-in-law, Debbie Stickley and Elizabeth Williford. Pallbearers will be Richard Tevalt, William Walton, Glen Vest, Mike Grim, Gerald Jackson and Jason Tevalt. Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Stover Memorial Chapel , Strasburg, VA.
