Douglas Murray Brooks

Douglas Murray Brooks, age 72, of Glade Hill, VA passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015. He was born in Franklin County the son of the late Jesse T. Brooks and Mary “Eva” Gregory Brooks. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Brooks Hunt; granddaughter, Crystal Lynn Hunt and Shirley Hodges; also brothers and sisters. Surviving are two sons, Daniel Garrison Brooks, Douglas Leon Brooks; step-daughter, Tracy Ayers; former daughter-in-law, Linda Brooks; two step granddaughters, Kathy Chisom, Lori Pruitt; step grandson, Kenny Keen; best friend, Ricky Hodges. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Monday at Lynch Conner Bowman Funeral Home with Pastor Jackie Spence officiating. Interment will follow in Pigg River Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
