Dwight Benedict Hanigan

Dwight Benedict Hanigan, Jr., age 69 of Wirtz passed away Monday, December 26, 2016 at his home. He was the born January 9, 1947, the son of the late Dwight Benedict, Sr. and Dorothy Hanigan. He was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Neil Basmaji. Mr. Hanigan was an 8 year veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired with 22 years of service as Correctional Counselor for the Montgomery Co., MD Department of Corrections. He is survived by his wife, Diana Lynne Hanigan; sons, Sean Hanigan (Alice), Kevin Hanigan; three grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Weigle (Ray), Dorothy Basmaji; brothers-in-law, Robert Watkins, III, Gregory Watkins; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
