Earnest Hooker Harrison

Earnest Hooker Harrison, age 93 of East Court St., Rocky Mount died January 13, 2012 at Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital. He was born in Rocky Mount on March 4, 1918 to the late George and Addie Harrison. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Jeanette Amos Harrison; two brothers Earl Harrison and Jackie Love and one sister Jean Smith. Surviving are two brothers John George (Jay) Harrison and Lowell Love; four sisters Mildred Hall, Betsy Hall and husband Sydney, Tessie Perdue and Hazel Brown; also a number of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, his family asks that donations be made to STEP Inc. (Meals on Wheels program) 200 Dent St., Rocky Mount, VA 24151. Funeral services will be conducted from Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel 2:00 p.m. Sunday with Dr. Jackie Spence officiating. Interment will be private on Monday at Franklin Memorial Park. His family will receive friends Sunday one hour prior to the service starting at 1:00 p.m. and at other times at the home of Mildred Hall, 2904 Iron Ridge Rd., Rocky Mount.
