Mr. Edward Carlton Agee, known for his unconditional love and caretaking, passed away on November 16, 2009 at the age of 60. He was born April 1, 1949 to Dock and Eva Agee in Franklin County, Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Agee, and his sons Stein, Corey and Logan Agee. He is survived by his mother Eva Agee, brother and sister-in-law Dan and Carolyn Agee, sister and brother-in-law Arlet and Edward Greer, and brother Jim Rendy Agee. He is survived by his mother-in-law Jeanne Kent, sister-in-law and her husband Linda and Gerald Saucerman, brother-in-law and wife Robert and Reta Kent, and sister-in-law Leslie Kent. He is also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father Dock Agee and father-in-law Robert Page Kent. He grew up in Callaway, Virginia serving a very family oriented life and farming with numerous family and relatives. Upon graduating from high school, he attended East Tennessee State University obtaining a degree in Accounting. Upon graduation from East Tennessee State University, he joined Price Waterhouse where he quickly excelled in his accounting and audit role at the firm. In 1979, he left Price Waterhouse to assist in the organization of Ward & Company, a southeast regional firm. In 1984, he and the partners at Ward & Company merged their practice into Touch Ross & Company. He subsequently left Touch Ross & Company to join Jack Fisher in the formation of Agee Fisher & Co., now AgeeFisherBarrett, LLC. His love for his work in the accounting and business world and with his clients who were also his best friends never waned over the years. In addition to his dedication and interests in accounting and servicing all his clients over they years, he was an avid boater and yachtsman where he greatly enjoyed the love for this pastime with his family taking many trips up and down the East Coast. His other true love was the tracing of his family genealogy and family history and educating the rest of his family and friends of all his knowledge he had learned over the years. This family knowledge will be greatly missed but has also been left in good hands with his sons and family. He is truly a wonderful, admired and loved person that will be missed by all the persons that he touched through out his life. A memorial service will be held at Piedmont Presbyterian Church in Callaway, Virginia (8865 Callaway Road, Callaway, Virginia 24067) on November 28, 2009 at 12:00 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at McKendricks Steakhouse in Atlanta, Georgia (4505 Ashford Dunwoody Road, Atlanta, Georgia 30346) on December 12, 2009 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
