Edith Hall Midkiff 91, of Rocky Mount, Beloved Aunt and Nanny, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at home, surrounded by her loving family and caregivers. She was born on December 24, 1918 a daughter of the late Mose and Etheleen Hall and was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Midkiff; and numerous brothers and sisters. Survivors include her niece Joyce Atkins (Roy); great-nieces, Catina Wright (Elvis), Sonya Mullins (Alan) and Suni Nicole Heflin (Cameron); Special great-great-nephews and nieces, Joshua Wright, Madison Wright, Brady Mullins, and Karly Mullins; numerous other nieces and nephews. Edith was a member of Evangelistic House of Prayer for forty plus years in Ferrum. She loved the Lord, loved her family and worked hard all of her life. She was a wonderful example of a Godly woman and will be greatly missed. Special thanks to Caregivers Lisa Hartzell, Tammy Hodges, Autumn Basham (Odell); Hospice Nurse Ruth Nash and David Gills. Funeral services will be conducted from Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Saturday, November 13, 2010 with Rev. Bud Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in the Greer-Hodges-Hall Family Cemetery.
