Elaine Durham Knapp

Elaine Durham Knapp age 87 of Salem passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018. She was born on November 28, 1930 a daughter of the late Herrick and Mae Arrington Durham. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Guy, Gordon and Ford Durham; and four sisters, Audrey Durham, Nannie Smith, Daisy Toler and Mary Gardner. She is survived by her husband, Charles Knapp, Salem; sons, Michael Bryant (Debbie), Bassett and Gary Bryant (Barbara), Collinsville; three grandchildren, Kimberly Gravely, Jamey Bryant and Wesley Queen; two great-grandchildren, Alyson Gravely and Emily Bryant; sisters, Shirley Foley and Beatrice Barbour. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 2800 Electric Road, Suite 105C, Roanoke, VA 24018. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home with Rev. Troy Mays officiating. Interment will follow in the Durham Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
