Ella Heckman

Ella Belle Heckman, age 93, of Rocky Mount, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012. She was born February 22, 1919 to the late Johnny & Laura Cooper Jones. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, W. Howard Heckman; brothers, Alfred and Walter Jones; sister, Elsie LaPrade; and grandchildren, Terry Sloan and Cindy Pagans. Surviving are her daughter, Carolyn Sloan and husband Vernard of Rocky Mount; sons, William (Bill) Heckman and wife Dorothy of Grand Junction, Colorado, and Morris Heckman and wife Brenda of Rich Creek, Virginia; seven grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and three great great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted from Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel 11 am Monday with Rev. James Graham officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Her family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service on Monday beginning at 10am. at Lynch- Conner-Bowman Funeral Home, 140 Floyd Avenue, Rocky Mount, Va
