Elsie Mae Dillon

Elsie Mae “Boots” Dillon, age79, of Wirtz, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2013. She was born October 14, 1934. She was preceded in death by her mother, Bertha Rogers; grandparents, John and Lucy Fisher; grandson, Matthew Dillon; granddaughter, Tina Dillon Hartman; aunt, Bessie Callis; and uncles, Gilbert Fisher and Eugene Fisher. Mrs. Dillon loved all kinds of flowers, music and dancing, but her true love and life was her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Ezra Vernard Dillon; daughter, Bonnie Mitchell (Brady); sons, Richard Dillon (Ethel), William Dillon, and Michael Dillon (Reba); grandchildren, Lisa Dillon (Everett), Rhonda Dillon (Todd), Timmy Mitchell, Jason Dillon (Jessica), Brandon Dillon (Melanie); great-grandchildren, Amanda Dillon, Bradley Dillon, Austin Dillon, Riley Dillon, and Brook Dillon; special aunt, Ollie Fulk; lifelong friend Hilda Dillon and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel 11:00 a.m. Wednesday with Pastor Jerry Naff officiating. Interment will follow in Gills Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Her family will be receiving friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Home, 140 Floyd Ave., Rocky Mount.(540)483-5533
