Estelle Webb Greer

Estelle Webb Greer, 87, of Rocky Mount, left her earthly world on Sunday morning, August 9, 2015. She was born November 26, 1927, the daughter of the late Willie and Ethel Webb. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dale; her sisters, Ruby, Geneva and Bernice; her brothers, Warren, Lloyd and Morris. Surviving are her sister, Doris; sons, Bill, Jerry and Rick; grandson, Jay; granddaughter, Brandy; many nieces and nephews whom she was like a second mother, a role she cherished.In recent years she and Brandy shared regular "girls-day-out" where they would go to Roanoke to shop and share a meal. These were really special times for both of them. She will be remembered by her many friends at Kroger, the place she most liked to visit. She was always excited to talk about the people who worked there and the customers she would see and talk to at Kroger. She also enjoyed her visits to Walmart and Goodwill and was able to get out and go up until about a month ago. She will be fondly remembered by many other people, many of whom fondly called her "Granny".Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at Lynch Conner Bowman Funeral Home with Dr. Jackie Spence officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. before the service starts at the funeral home.
