Ethel Florence Scott

Ethel Florence Scott went peacefully to be with her Savior, September 19, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents E. W. Sledd, Sr.; mother, Mary; step-mother, Dolly Sledd; husband, Earl Johnson Scott; son Richard Dean Scott; five brothers; and her beloved dog Megan. She is survived by her children, Wayne Scott (Theresa), Billy Scott, David Scott (Kim), Joyce Jenkins, Francine Moore, and Wendell Scott (Lisa); 19 grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren. Mother was known for her affection for all people, her love of animals, and a requirement that no-one leave her home hungry. She will be sadly missed by her dog Buddy. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Franklin County Humane Society 18401Virgil Goode Hwy, Rocky Mount, VA 24151. Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, September 22 at Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Thompson officiating. Interment will be at Franklin Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, September 21 at Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Home (Town Chapel), 140 Floyd Avenue, Rocky Mount, VA 24151
