Eula Frances Slayton Robertson

On July 25, 2013, Eula Frances Slayton Robertson, age 92, of Rocky Mount passed from this life to her eternal home. She was the daughter of the late James M. Slayton and Josie Hall Slayton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Posey L. Robertson; two brothers, Woodsie Slayton, Buford Slayton; two sisters, Viola Brubaker, Bessie Robertson; son-in-law, James Garland DeHart; infant granddaughter, Jamie F. DeHart. Eula retired from Franklin Memorial Hospital after 22 years of service. She worked hard at whatever she did; be it nursing, farming, gardening, canning, or sewing and she loved flowers. Many precious memories will always be cherished by her daughter, Nadine DeHart; nephew, Calvin Altice; niece, Nancy Altice; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Nadine and Calvin would like to thank Dr. Atienza for all he did; Pastor Liz Lazenby and Pastor Marvin Barbre for all the visits, prayers and words of encouragement and comfort. Thanks to the Good Samaritan Hospice Staff for all the good deeds and hard work they did for mom. She loved them all. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Lynch Conner Bowman Funeral Home with Pastor Liz Lazenby and Pastor Marvin Barbre officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
