Eural Midkiff

Eural Midkiff, age 90 of Ferrum, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2011. He was born June 1, 1921 to the late Murry and Pearl Midkiff. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Sheila Prillaman; brothers Buren, Edward and Wythe Midkiff; sisters Josephine Midkiff and Evilene Plough. Mr. Midkiff attended Endicott Assembly of God and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Surviving is his wife of 60 years Vera Midkiff; daughter Teresa Cannaday (Leon);grandchildren Stacy Hall (Jamie), Daniel Cannaday (Tonya);great-grandsons Chris and Austin Hall; brothers Hub Midkiff (Judy) and Richard Midkiff (Glendola); sisters Mae Bray, Marie Thompson (Glen), Louise Lawson (Clyde), Sandra Watson (Sam); brother-in-law Wayne Worley (Brenda); sister-in-law Pat Worley. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ferrum Rescue Squad or to Carilion Hospice of Franklin County. Funeral services will be conducted from Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel 11:00 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Calvin Hickson officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. His family will receive friends Wednesday one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Home, 140 Floyd Ave, Rocky Mount.
