Eva Shively Peters

Eva Shively Peters, age 94, of Ferrum went to be with the Lord Thursday, October 1, 2015. She was born May 25, 1921 to the late Dexter and Zula Shively. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lawrence Peters of 47 years; brothers, Alvin, Oscar, and Garfield Shively; sisters, Dora Jones & Elsie Rakes. She is survived by one son, Olyn (Jane) Peters; one daughter, Kathy (Tommy) Rakes; three grandchildren, Monica Jimenez, Kimya Rakes & Nikki Hall; five great-grandchildren, Daniella Jimenez, Selena Rakes, Hayden, Ainslee & Amya Hall; and one sister, Nora Underwood. She was a founding member of Faith Assembly of God Church. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations may be made to Ferrum Faith Assembly of God Church, P. O. Box 280, Ferrum, VA 24088… Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, October 5 at Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Home (Town Chapel) with Rev. Roger Jones and Rev. Adam Coombs officiating.
