Fannie Kate Dean Ramey

Fannie Kate Dean Ramey went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 23, 2022. Fannie was preceded in death by her husband, William Ramey; and a son, Billy Ramey.

She is survived by her four children; son, Freddie Dean (wife Tammy) of Concord, North Carolina, son, Michael Ramey (fiancé Tammy Flammer) of Rocky Mount, VA, son, Scott Ramey (wife Terra) of Rocky Mount, VA, and Daughter, Penny Ramey of Rocky Mount, VA. Also surviving are five stepchildren.

Fannie is also survived by one sister, Linda Carter of Norton, VA; five brothers, Floyd Dean (wife Trena) of Indianapolis, Indiana, Glenn Thomas Dean of Indianapolis, Indiana, Roy Green of Norton, VA, and Teddy Green of Norton, Va. Ronnie Green of Norton, VA. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Fannie was a devoted wife and beloved mother. Fannie was always willing to help out anyone she could. The Lord needed his Angel to come home, so He called her name. Although Mom you have left a hole in our heart that can never be filled, we know you are free of diabetes, pain, and all of these worldly illnesses. We know you will watch over us and keep us on the right path. We will remember you sitting there in that white chair with your long white hair and beautiful smile. You have only been gone a few days and we already miss you dearly. We will see you again one day. Love you Mom/Mamaw.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home with Dr. Jackie Spence officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends Tuesday September 27, 2022, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the home of her son, Scott.
