Frances Ware Lavinder

Frances Ware Lavinder, 94, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 in Rocky Mount, VA. She was retired from Franklin Memorial Hospital, was a member of Rocky Mount Presbyterian Church and was a faithful and dedicated volunteer for the American Red Cross. She was born, March 22, 1928, to the late George W. A. Ware and Ruth Robertson Ware. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Kenneth Lavinder, Jr. Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Ken Lavinder and Dawna Miller of Glade Hill, VA, John and Robin Lavinder of Glade Hill, VA; grandchildren and spouses, Isaac Lavinder (Rosea) and great granddaughter, Ella of Bassett, VA, Aaron and Traci Lavinder of Rocky Mount, VA, Valarie and Joe Lamonaca and great granddaughter, Nina of Fancy Gap, VA, Brett Miller and Heather Myers of Roanoke, VA; along with a host of other relatives and friends. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Red Oak Manor for loving and taking excellent care of our mother while she was a resident there. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 10, at Franklin Memorial Park with Rev. Rick Poland and Rev. Greg Broyles officiating.
