Garlin Clifford Strouth, age 59 of Ferrum passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at his home. Garlin has served as Pastor for 10 years at Faith Assembly of God in Ferrum, served in the ministry for 39 years and traveled the world serving God in short term Missions. He was a great loving husband, father, poppa and servant of God. He was also an avid reader, outdoorsman and athlete. He was born March 10, 1951 a son of the late Garlin and Mary Street Strouth. Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Beverly Strouth; daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Barry Wallace, Copper Hill; son, Peyton Strouth, Dallas, Texas; his granddaughter, Katelyn Sunshine Wallace; brother and sister-in-law, David and Kathy Strouth, Bristol; sisters and brother-in-law, Arfey Miller, Barbara and James Honaker, Abingdon; several nieces and nephews. A special thanks to our church family, Dr. Robert Strong, and the staff of Five Central at UVA Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted from Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel 10 a.m. Thursday, April 1, 2010 with Rev. Marvin Dennis and Pastor Calvin Hickson officiating. Graveside services will be conducted in Russell Memorial Cemetery, Lebanon, Virginia 3 p.m. Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Faith Assembly of God, P.O.
