Gary Allen Wimmer

Gary Allen Wimmer, Sr., 67, of Roanoke lost his battle with cancer on Tuesday, March 6, 2018. He was born September 7, 1950 in Roanoke, VA a son of the late George R. and Nannie Sue Wimmer. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Ricky L. Wimmer and sister, Dreama Wimmer Miller. He served in the Army from 1969 to 1971. He is survived by his son, Gary A. Wimmer, Jr.; two brothers, Bobby E. Wimmer, Sr. (Ramona) of Boones Mill and Daniel E. Wimmer, Sr. of Roanoke; along with several nieces, nephews and other relatives. A memorial service to honor his life will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, April 21 at Pheasant Ridge Nursing and Rehab Center in Roanoke with Pastor David Jones officiating.
