Gene Hedge

 William Eugene "Gene" Hedge age 62 of Roanoke passed away at his home on Saturday, August 5, 2023. He was born om March 11, 1961 a son of the late Robert, Sr. and Kathy Hedge and also was preceded in death by his brother, Robert L. Hedge, Jr.

Gene is survived by his loving and devoted wife and caretaker, Dorothy Richardson (Dottie) Hedge; son, Christopher Hedge (Rain); his daughters, Cynthia Hedge and Steve Hurd, Jamie Boone Percy, Jessica Boone Thoustrup (Martin), Jennifer Boone; his special granddaughter, Olyvia Grace Thoustrup. He is also survived by his best friends, Richard Lawson and Wayne Rock, other family members and numerous friends.

A celebration of Gene's life will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Preston Oaks Baptist Church, 102 Preston Avenue, NE, Roanoke, VA 24012 with Pastor Rodger Hogan officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. A time of fellowship will follow in the Family Life Center following the service.
