Geneva Mae Anderson Eckles, age 86, of Rocky Mount passed away on April 13, 2019.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Kenneth E. Eckles; her parents, Chris and Eula Jamison Anderson; an infant daughter, Susan; sisters, Hilda Donahue, Elsie Sink, Fannie Durham; and a brother, John Lewis Anderson; daughter-in-law, Teena D. Eckles.
Geneva is survived by her two sons, Buddy Eckles (Wanda) and Michael Eckles; brother, Bobby Anderson; three Grandchildren, Hilarie, Donald, Kristina; seven great-grandchildren, Kyndall, Autumn, Ezra Michael, Logan, Carlee, Kolton, and Emerson; a very special friend, Sarah Denton; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Geneva had a great interest in genealogy and shared her records of the Anderson family with many relatives. Prior to her stroke, she made many beautiful quilts. After being confined to bed she spent many hours with her “word-search” puzzles. She was a member of Germantown Brick Church of the Brethren.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at Mountain View Memorial Park with Pastor Greg Broyles officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home.
