Geneva Smith Ellison

Geneva Smith Ellison, 91, of Collinsville, VA passed away Thursday, May 18, 2023 at her home. She was born October 19, 1931 the daughter of the late Felix Smith and Dona Gayhart Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Ellison. Surviving are her son, Jerry Ellison (Dawn); daughter, Tammy Owens; three grandchildren, Brandon Ellison (Margaret), Ashlee Viers (Jeremy), Danielle Hill (Tyler); four great grandchildren, Abagail Viers, Jessica Viers, Haydyn Viers, Owen Ellison; brother, Billy Ray Smith; several nieces and nephews; two special nieces, Patty Black (Matt), Debbie Homer (Dave); special nephew, Brian Ellison (Michael). The family would like to say “THANK YOU” to Mallory Knight of Commonwealth Hospice. Memorial services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 18075 A. L. Philpott Hwy, Ridgeway, VA 24148 with Rev. Randy Aldridge officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 noon to 1:00 P.M. before the service starts. Floral arrangements will be accepted or donations to St. Jude Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
