George D. Kinsey

George Daniel Kinsey, Sr., age 76, of Boones Mill passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015. George was a U.S. Navy Veteran, member of Boones Mill United Methodist Church, retired with 35 devoted years of service as Supervisor of the Pubilc School Transportation Department in Florida. After retiring he moved back to Virginia and operated Kinsey Auto Body in Boones Mill. He was the son of the late, John Tazwell and Olivia Overfelt Kinsey. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Kathie Barnett; Sisters, Ruby Wray (Charles), Bettie Jo Fisher (Garfield), Ann Scarborough (Twin); Brothers, Paul Kinsey (half-brother), J. T. Kinsey, Wallace Kinsey, Bill Kinsey (Joyce), and Charles Kinsey. Surviving are his wife, Lonna Kinsey; Sons, George Kinsey, Jr., Steven Kinsey (Bethanie), Brian Kinsey (Jackie); Daughter, Victoria Kinsey; Step-Son, Michael Tripp; Sister, Hazel Harrison (Grover), Sister-In-Law, Mildred Kinsey; Eight Grandchildren, Two Step-Grandchildren, Two Great-Grandchildren, Two Step-Great-Grandchildren; and many Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, and Friends. Funeral Services will be conducted from Conner-Bowman Funeral Home 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2015. Interment will follow in the Kinsey Family Cemetery with Military Honors.
