Georgie Mitchell Angle

Georgie Mitchell Angle, age 92, of Rocky Mount, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 19, 2013. She was born August 27, 1920, to the late A. B. and Locky Mitchell and was preceded in death by Sisters, Ada Spender (Bill), Angie Gose (John) and a Brother, David Mitchell (Betty). Georgie grew up in Penhook and graduated Glade Hill High School. She worked for JP Stevens for over 30 years and was a member of Sandy Ridge Baptist Church. Georgie was a good Christian woman who loved to cook, garden and sew but above all she loved her family. Mrs. Angle is survived by a Daughter, Gaynell Krista (John); Son, Garry Angle (Barbara) of Rocky Mount; Grandsons, Andrew S. Carr, Timothy W. Carr both of Roanoke, Patrick W. Angle (Sheena) of Hagerstown, MD, & Jonthan W. Angle (Emily) of Roanoke; Great-Grandsons, Xavier W. Carr, Marcus Clark; Sisters, Frances Holland Martinsville, Jean Mithcell of Penhook; Brother, Herbert Mitchell of Penhook and numerous Nieces and Nephews. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Sandy Ridge Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be conducted from Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel on Friday, June 21 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Joe Dillon. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park.
