Gerald "Jerry" Oscar Morris

Gerald "Jerry" Oscar Morris age 80 passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at his home. He was born on March 21, 1944 in Dover, New Jersey to the late Thomas and Gladys Morris. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Joanne Morris; a son, Michael Morris; sisters-in-law, Donna Morris and Carol Licata; and best friend, Spike.

He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Ferron; brothers, Tom Morris (Bulah), and Steve Morris (Kathy); sisters-in-law, Cindy Hostler (Tim), and Janice Huff (Kenny); brother-in-law, Dave Licata; grandchildren, Evan Yerkey (Brooke), Iain Ferron, Madison Cody, and Brayden Ferron. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

Jerry retired from M&M Mars in 1996 after 27 years where he helped invent the blue M&M. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and an avid sports fan and in his retirement years enjoyed playing golf.

His family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice team and special neighbor, Nancy Peters for their love and care. They truly went above and beyond making a difference. 

A celebration of his life along with Military Honors will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Hoffman officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM.
