G.L. Moreland

George L. "G.L." Moreland, 69 of Rocky Mount died Monday, June 20, 2011 in a Roanoke hospital. He was born February 2, 1942 a son of the late John D. and Tina Fritts Moreland. He was also preceded in death by a brother, J.D. Moreland; and a brother-in-law, Terry W. Sink. He is survived by his sisters and brother, Lula Mae Sink, Shirley Moreland, Virginia Moreland (Calvin), Beulah Ingram (Lloyd), Jeanette Caldwell (Ronnie), Dwight Moreland (Barbara) and Joanne Moreland; several nieces, nephews and other relatives; long-time best friend, Ewell Hunt. Funeral services will be conducted from Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2011 with Rev. Joe Dillon officiating. Interment will follow in the Sink-Moreland Family Cemetery.
