Gladys Sink Jones

Gladys Jewelline Sink Jones, 82, passed away at home on Friday, November 24, 2023. She was born on June 19, 1941, in Glade Hill, VA, to William Ira Sink and Beulah Mae Sink.

Gladys is survived by her husband of 64 years, John Calvin Jones of Rocky Mount; son, Ronnie Leon Jones and his wife Cara; daughter, Regina Lynn Jones; grandchildren Keshia Schaffer, Amanda Elmore, John William Jones, and James Wyatt Jones; and great-grandchildren Justyn Schaffer, Nathaniel Schaffer, and Brantley Schaffer.

She worked at MW Manufacturing in Rocky Mount for 28 years. In retirement, she took pleasure in spending time with friends and family and taking care of everyone from her husband to her 3 great-grandchildren. 

Gladys had a deep love for her Lord Jesus Christ and attended The Church of God of Prophecy in Rocky Mount for over 20 years. There, and among all who knew her, she was known for her kindness, gentle spirit, and willingness to help others any way she could. 

The funeral service will be conducted 2 PM Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home with Pastor Gene Gillette officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 1 PM at the funeral home.
