Harold Glen Prillaman, 91 of Rocky Mount went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 26, 2010. He was a member of Rocky Mount Presbyterian Church, a former Deacon in Buchanan Presbyterian Church. Glen was Owner-President of Starr Chevrolet in Buchanan from 1955 to 1966 and President of Prillaman Pontiac, Olds, and Buick from 1967 to 1988, and upon retirement was co-owner of Prillaman, Inc. During his life-long career of selling cars, he was also a member of the Rocky Mount Chamber of Commerce. He was a veteran of World War II serving his country in the U.S. Navy. Glen was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Henebry Prillaman; parents John Tyler and Onie Burnett Prillaman; sister Evelyn Hairston; and brother Guy Prillaman. Surviving to cherish his memory are his son G. Michael Prillaman, Rocky Mount; daughter Susan P. Smith, Ridgeway; grandchildren Leigh Anna Smith, Knoxville, Tenn., William Tyler Smith, Ridgeway; great-grandson William Maxwell Smith, Ridgeway. Funeral services will be conducted from Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 28, 2010 with Dr. Russell Merritt officiating. Interment will follow in the Burnett Family cemetery in Ferrum. The family will accept flowers or memorial contributions may be made in Glens name to Rocky Mount Presbyterian Church, 175 Floyd Avenue, Rocky Mount, Virginia 24151. The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Fork Mountain Adult Rest Home for their compassionate and comforting help during Glens illness.
