Halie Whitt

Halie Whitt, age 100 of Ferrum, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019. She was born July 24 1918 to the late Robert Lee and Martha Ann Graham. In addition to her parents , she was preceded in death by her loving husband Fred Whitt; a daughter-in-law Jo Ann Graham; brothers and sisters Noah Alfred Graham, Boyd Graham, Meda May Shrewsbury and Thelma Reece. Surviving is her son Jerry Dean Graham; grandsons Jerry Dewayne Graham and wife Lorrie, Robert Dean Graham and wife Jennifer; great grandsons Dakota, Dylan Graham and great granddaughter Lauren Cady. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Century Hospice, 5337 Peters Creek Rd, Roanoke, VA 24019. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday from Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Home (Town Chapel) with Pastor Ronnie Brown officiating. Entombment will be held Friday at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley, WV. Her family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Home, 140 Floyd Ave., Rocky Mount, VA 24151.
