Harry James “Jim” Worley, Jr. of Rocky Mount, Virginia has passed away at the age of 71. He was a Coach and Educator for Roanoke City, Roanoke County and Franklin County School Systems for 27 years.
He is survived by Myra Leigh Worley, wife of nearly 50 years. His Son Harry James Worley III, Marietta Worley, Daughter-in-law, Their three children Nowell James Worley, Harry James Worley IV, Jennifer Leigh Worley and Spouse Arthur VanTine and Great Grandson Arthur James. Daughter Misty Marie and spouse James Springer, Grandchildren Luke, Marc, Paul, Tim, Hannah and Benjamin. Daughter Suzette Perkins and seven grandchildren. Sister Lona Belle Peterson, Nephew David Petterson and Spouse Autumn and Special Family Friend Michelle Kelly.
Flowers accepted, Jim preferred memorial contribution be made instead to Humanitarian Aid, Perpetual Education Fund, Missionary Fund through The Church of Jesus of Latter Day Saints @ lds.org or The Heifer International which through donations provides families world-wide, access to sustainable livelihood.
Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home with President Greg Wilkins and Harry James Worley III officiating. Interment will follow in Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin, Virginia. The Worley Family will receive friends on Monday, November 27th from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
