Helen Spangler

Helen Knight Spangler, 86 of Boones Mill, otherwise referred to as “Granny” to all that knew and loved her, went home to be with the Lord Friday, October 19, 2012. She was born November 18, 1925 in Bumpus Mill, TN to the late Floyd and Ina Knight. She was also preceded in death by three sisters; three brothers; her beloved husband of 60 years Wilford Spangler; two daughters, an infant and Ellen Spangler; daughter-in-law Tammy Spangler. Surviving are three sons and wives W.D. Spangler (Shirley), Charlie Spangler (Bridget), Jimmy Spangler (Vanessa); four daughters Martha Weaver, Kathy Angell, Joyce “Tootsie” St. Clair, Gladys Weaver (Walter); 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; one sister Jessie Powell; one foster son Shirley Clemons (Carolyn), one very special sister-in-law Nellie Spangler; lots of nieces and nephews and many friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Bonbrook Baptist Church Building fund or to the “Susan G. Komen Cure” cancer fund. Funeral services will be conducted from Conner-Bowman Funeral Home, Rt. 220 Chapel, 2:00 p.m. Monday with Rev. Chips Doyle, Pastor Scott Dawson and Rev. Eugene Powell officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park.
