Henry Hobert Starkey III, age 24 of Franklin County died on Saturday, July 29, 2017 as a result of an automobile accident.
Henry was born in Roanoke, Virginia on October 25, 1992 and was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Henry, Sr. and Ora Starkey; and his stepdaughter, Peyton Alexandria Faye Gillenwalters.
Henry was a kind, loving and giving person, always willing and ready to help others. He was also gifted in many ways, but his creativity of using his “fingers” to make pieces of art will be forever remembered by all, as he was indeed a gifted artist.
He is survived by his loving wife, India Novia; daughter, MaKeita Dawn Tania Starkey; stepson, Jasper Shane Novia; mother, Joni A. Strickler; father, Henry H. Starkey, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Joda and Annabelle Strickler; God Mother, Linda Sink; aunts and uncles, Hazel Muse (Reginald), Eldridge Starkey (Jamie), Michael Strickler (Donna) and Ronda Hanson (Tracy); mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lori and Jay Thompson. He is also survived by several cousins, other family members and friends.
Henry will always be loved by his family and friends and will never be forgotten.
Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Friday, August 4, 2017 at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home with Pastor Anthony Adams officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 2 p.m. at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home, 62 VA Market Place Drive (Route 220 @ Wirtz Road) Rocky Mount.
