Homer Elmore Graham

Homer Elmore Graham, age 78, of Rocky Mount, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 2, 2013. He was born May 2, 1934, the son of the late Edwin and Martha Graham. He was also preceded in death by a Brother, Paul Graham; Sister, Barbara Cox; and Niece, Diana Belcher. He served in the U.S. Navy and was the previous owner of Graham’s Garage as a mechanic. He was a faithful member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church where he served as Deacon. He is survived by his Wife of 37 years, Ruth Graham; Sons, Douglas Graham of Roanoke, Bill Childress (Ann) of Ashburn, VA; Daughters, Mary Angle (Terry), Linda Bedsaul both of Roanoke; 7 Grandchildren, Crystal Bradford, Jennifer Blankenship, Chad Blankenship, Monica Duncan, Darryl Childress, Cameron Graham, and Ashley Graham; 9 Great-Grandchildren, Trevor, Tyler, Cayla, Zachary, Gabriel, Jay Paul, Luke, Kaitlyn and Cayden; Brothers, Wendell Graham (Marcella) Fort Myers, Florida, Neil Graham (Cathy) Richmond, Virginia; Sisters, Bonnie Hawks, Beatrice Belcher (Guy); Special Sister-In-Law Shirley Graham and numerous Nieces and Nephews. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Rocky Mount Baptist Church, 85 W. Church Street, Rocky Mount, VA 24151. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, January 5 at Rocky Mount Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Robinson and Dr. Jack Corvin officiating. Interment will follow in Antioch Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
