Ida Bell Gillispie

Ida Bell Gillispie, age 91 of Ferrum passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2011. She was a lifelong member of Ferrum Faith Assembly of God Church and was a great and loving mother and grandmother who will be missed by all. Born April 2, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Ada Peters Boyd and was also preceded in death by her husband, Euell Brown Gillispie; a son, Ronnie Gillispie; four brothers; one sister. Surviving are her daughters, Barbara Boyd and Betty Minton of Ferrum; son and daughter-in-law, Donald Lee and Virginia Gillispie, Floyd; 20 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Funeral services will be conducted from Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel, 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2011. Interment will follow in Ingram Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Carilion Clinic Hospice of Franklin County, 390 South Main Street, Suite 303, Rocky Mount, Virginia 24151.
