Iva Ellen Whorley Guilliams

Iva Ellen Whorley Guilliams, age 77 of Ferrum, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 6, 2023. Iva was born June 25, 1945 to the late Lacy and Haggie Whorley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters Margaret Whorley and Pauline Blalock; and brother Roger Whorley. Iva was a member of Endicott Assembly of God where she attended for many years prior to her declining health. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her, especially her children and grandchildren, whom she loved in return and was so proud of.

Surviving is her husband of 59 years Charles “David” Guilliams; her children Cindy Spencer (Darryl), David Guilliams (Penny) and Kevin Guilliams (Karen); grandchildren Jessica Gillispie (Doug), Lacey Britten (Ben), Nicholas Guilliams; great-granddaughter Lilly Gillispie; sisters April Carroll, Jane Peters (Olyn), and Jo Cox; sister-in-law Gloria Whorley; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association, 3959 Electric Rd #222, Roanoke, VA 24018.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 9, 2023 at Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel with Pastor Calvin Hickson officiating. Burial will follow in the Whorley Family Cemetery. Her family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service Friday beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home, 62 Virginia Market Place Dr., Rocky Mount, VA
