Jack "Pop" Koning, Sr.

Jack “Pop” Koning, Sr., age 71, of Ferrum passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015. He was born the son of the late Jacob Garrett Koning and Doris May Koning. Surviving are wife and best friend, Barbara Biles; two sons, Jacob Koning, Jr., Michael Albert Koning; two daughters, Amanda Koning Booth and husband, Allen, Angie Layne; step son, Anthony Wayne Carmichael; 10 grandchildren, Teri Lynn, Jessica, Tabitha, Austin, Raymond, Kennedy, Liberty, Nathan, Jacob,Addison; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Gary Koning; two sisters, Alice Koning, Cynthia Koning; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; good friend, Tom Ciappa. Memorial services will be held 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at Lynch Conner Bowman Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. before service starts.
