James O. Black

James O Black, age 81 of Hardy, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014. He was born January 3, 1933 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles C. Black. Mr. Black was a US Air force veteran having served his county during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Jonell Patsel Black, stepchildren Gene Hannah, Ronald Hannah, BJ Watkins; grandson Ronald Wayne Hannah Jr. ; son Larry Black; his brother Wayne Black; great grandchildren, numerous in laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Red Valley United Methodist Church, 30 Red Valley Rd Boones Mill, VA 24065. Funeral Services will be held at Red Valley United Methodist Church 4 p.m. on Sunday May 18, 2014 with Rev. Joshua King officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
