James Clifford Blankenship

James Clifford Blankenship, age 90 of Glade Hill, passed away Friday, March 7, 2025. He was born January 4, 1935 to the late Emmettt and Elsie Blankenship. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Betty Blankenship.

Mr. Blankenship lived most of his life in Glade Hill, Virginia ,where he was a member of Crafts United Methodist Church. He served his country in the US Army shortly before receiving a medical discharge. Afterwards, he was employed at Lane Company, where he would work for over 20 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed small engine repair, and tractor pulls.

Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law Keith Blankenship (Becky); granddaughter Ashley Carver (Kayla); great-grandchildren Cuper Gonzalez, Morgan Belcher and Brianna Kell; sister-in-law Lynn Tracy (Dick); brother-in-law Thomas Roberson.

Funeral services will be conducted 12 noon Tuesday from Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel with Mr. Richard "Dick" Tracy officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. His family will be receiving friends from 11am till service time Tuesday morning at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home, 62 Virginia Market Place Dr., Rocky Mount, VA.
