James Terry Guilliams (Fuzz), 88, of Roanoke passed away Friday, March 29, 2019. He was born, August 6, 1930, in Callaway, Virginia. James served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the U S Postal Service after 32 years of service and also retired from Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. James was a longtime, faithful member of Rockingham Court United Methodist Church. James was preceded in death by a son, Richard Allen Guilliams, and his parents, Terry Guilliams and Thelma Nichols Guilliams; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Casey Bernard. He is survived by his wife, Mary Frances Bernard Guilliams; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Bill Richards; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Allison Guilliams; grandchildren, Amber Richards of Alexandria, Alex Richards of Philadelphia, Andy Richards, Matthew Guilliams and Rachel Guilliams all of Roanoke; brother and sister-in-law, Cecil and Bertha Guilliams of Roanoke; two sisters, Barbara Grantham of Callaway, Mary Hudson of Rocky Mount; sisters-in-law, Sue Bernard, Shelby Nemeth, Patricia Custer and Betty Bernard. Special thanks to the care provided to James by Pheasant Ridge Nursing Home and Heartland Hospice. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Conner Bowman Funeral Home with Pastor Nathan Colwell officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park, Boones Mill, VA. with Military Honors by the U. S. Army Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Monday night from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
