James Paul Holland

James “Paul” Holland, Jr., age 74, of Glade Hill, VA passed away at his residence on Wednesday, June 29, 2016. Paul was born, October 10, 1941, to James Paul Holland, Sr. and Reba Cundiff Holland who preceded him in death. He lived all of his life in the Glade Hill area of Franklin County. He grew tobacco, hay, had beef cattle, but his greatest love was driving a school bus / van for over 50 years for the Franklin County School System. He loved the children and his coworkers. He never met a stranger and loved talking to one and all. He loved Our Lord and his Church family, his many friends, fixing up old cars and traveling to car shows with his buddies. Paul is survived by his wife, Donna Cundiff Holland; daughter, Paula Goldman (Dan); sisters, Alise Fralin (Oliver) and Peggy Sink (Don); mother-in-law, Barbara Cundiff; sister-in-law, Ann Cundiff; brother-in-law, Jason Cundiff (Pat); nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Glade Hill Fire Department, P.O. Box 14, Glade Hill, Virginia 24092 or a charity of your choice. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Conner Bowman Funeral Home with Dr. Jackie Spence officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
