James Kenneth (Kenny) Parker

James Kenneth Parker (Kenny) age 66, of Rocky Mount, went to be with the Lord on October 7, 2011. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the United States Marine Corps. He was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Araminta Parker; two brothers Eddie and Joe; and two sisters Rose Crawford and Phyllis Foley. Surviving include his wife of 11 years Gerri Parker; children Tammy Mayo (Roy), Tony Parker (Kathy), Jenny Perdue (Darin), Lisa Norvell (Todd), Jacob Bush (Jennifer), Bucky Parker (Heather), Amanda Maish (James), and Jimmy Hagy (Tosha); 18 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; father-in- law Mike Shell; one brother Larry Parker (Eunice); two sisters Ilene Rutherford and Jean Towaga. He retired from Lane Furniture Company after many long years. He was a loving father and grandfather and enjoyed spending his retirement at home with family and pets.
