He also very much enjoyed nature, gardening, carpentry, rides on the Blue Ridge Parkway and family vacations on the “Outer Banks of North Carolina.”
Many thanks to our family & friends who loved and supported us during these many years that Jim was jousting with Parkinson’s. A special thanks to Dr. Unwin and the staff of Franklin Health and Rehabilitation Center for meeting Jim’s challenges with resourcefulness and kindness.
According to Jim’s wishes, services will be private. Memorials may be made to the Franklin County Humane Society, 18401 Virgil H. Goode Hwy, Rocky Mount, Virginia 24151 or to the National Parkinson Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131.
