James W. Musgrove

James W. Musgrove “Jim”, age 68, of Wirtz passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2018. He was born April 20, 1950 to the late Annie and Sam Musgrove. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother Walter Musgrove; two sisters Rose Holloway and Louise Musgrove and his dog Jermone. Jim was a hard worker who built many houses and worked in concrete. He loved hunting, fishing, playing bingo and cards but especially enjoyed picking on people. Surviving is his wife of 41 years, Rosie Bousman Musgrove; his son James W. Musgrove Jr. “Jim Jr.”; daughter and son-in-law April R. Musgrove-Griffith (Dustin P.); granddaughter Maddison Jean Griffith; grandson Tyler Mason Griffith; brother and sister-in-law Tommy Musgrove (Linda); sisters and brother-in-law Victoria Smithers, Doris Hambrick, Annie Hodges, Ellen Turner, Betty Nuckolds (Larry); sister-in-law Kathy Musgrove; also, many nephews, nieces and cousins and his fur babies, Abby and Poochie. Jim’s family would especially like to thank Carilion Hospice of Franklin County for their love and care. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday at Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Home (Town Chapel) with Pastor Ricky Smithers officiating. Interment will follow in the family cemetery at the home.
