James Robey

James Edward Robey, age 74, of Sandy Level passed away Friday, August 24, 2012. He was born May 29, 1938, a son of the late Harry Garfield and Zillah Blevins Robey. James was a family man whom had a passion for the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He also was a proud U.S. Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by brothers, Carl Robey and Norman Robey. Surviving is his loving wife Janet A. Robey; son, James & Denise Robey; daughters, Sallie C. Robey and Sherrie Lee Hodges; 10 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted from Robey Family Cemetery, 16125 Snow Creek Road, Penhook, Virginia, 2 pm Sunday, August 26, 2012 with Dr. Jackie Spence officiating. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Mr. Robey’s honor and memory to P.O. Box 113, Union Hall, VA 24176.
