James Edward Young

James Edward Young, age 72, of Penhook, VA passed away Thursday, August 13, 2015. He was born March 15, 1943 the son of the late Morris Herman Young and Ruby Adkins Young. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jaquetta (Jackie) Young Walker. James was employed for over 25 years with DuPont. He had many hobbies he enjoyed which included, online racing, hunting and racing with his son at Franklin County Speedway. Surviving are his wife Bonnie Hodges Young; son, James E. Young, Jr. and wife, Dixie; four grandchildren, Toni Young, Sara Reynolds, Emily Grace Walker, Brian David Walker; two great grandchildren, Levi Reynolds, Jaxon Reynolds; two sisters, Bonnie Y. Swanson, Eleanor Y. Spencer; brother, David Stone Young; several nieces and nephews; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lenford and Sallie Hodges. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Lynch Conner Bowman Funeral Home with Rev. Derek Layman officiating. Interment will follow in the Young Family Cemetery, Penhook, VA.
