Janet Ann Custer

Janet Ann Gibson Custer passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 11, 2024. Fully healed, she ran into the loving arms of her Lord and our daddy who had been waiting to see her again. She was preceded in death by her best friend and husband of 64 years Jimmie Custer; parents, Josie Gibson and Tom Gibson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wilfred and Rosa Lee Custer; brothers and sisters, Christine, Carl, Beulah, Anna, Earl, Gerald, Marvin and Lewis. 

Surviving to cherish the memory of our loving mama is her brother, Billy Gibson; sisters-in-law, Janet Jamison, Louise Gibson and Mozelle Gibson; brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Doris Custer; her children, Debbie and Mike Dillon, Tina and Rickey Cale, Allen and Laura Custer; grandchildren, Johnny and Sandy, Amy, Heather and Josh, Sarah and Ray, Emily and Ryan, Seph, Brianna and Tommy, Kevin; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Savannah and Tyler, Jack, Vivi, Owen, Troy, Wyatt, Russell, Cora; great-great-granddaughters, Teeghan and Lainey; and honorary granddaughter, Amanda Wray. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. This is not good-bye, but we will see you again.

The family would like to say a very special thanks to the staff of 8 Mountain ICU for the loving care that mama received.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at the Custer Family Cemetery on Custers Ridge Road with Pastor Jessica Slusher and Pastor Ray Bayse officiating.
