Janet L. Willis

Janet Leigh Willis, 63, of Callaway, Virginia passed away on February 22, 2017. She was preceded in death by her father Clifford Dalton Willis and brother Clifford Dalton Willis, Jr. She is survived by her mother Evelyn Willis; son Michael Hickman; sister-in-law Sue Willis, niece Tammy Willis, and nephew Gary Willis; brother Jeff Willis and niece Sadie Willis; and special friends Kathy and Ilene Hurley. Friends and family remember her as a voracious knitter, lover of Downton Abbey, and eternal optimist. She had a big heart and a hearty laugh; those who ever knew her were truly blessed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2840 Electric Rd # 106, Roanoke, VA 24018. Funeral services will be conducted from Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Home (Town Chapel) 2:00 p.m. Saturday with Rev. Nadia Stropich officiating. Interment will follow in Pigg River Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Callaway followed by a meal at Piedmont Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Lynch Conner Bowman Funeral Home, 140 Floyd Ave., Rocky Mount.
