Jean Gobble

Jean Deck Gobble, 91, of Roanoke passed away Tuesday morning, July 10, 2023. She was a lifetime member of First Church of God,
Roanoke, where she attended church her entire life. She was born on July 19, 1931 a daughter of the late John and Ethel Deck and was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred Gobble; brothers, Lavelle (Betty), Bill, and Buford Deck; sisters-in-law, Imogene Daugherty (GS); brothers-in-law, Ron Gobble, Don Gobble (Barbara), C. G. Gobble, and Richard Janney.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lori Gobble Hopkins and John Hopkins; her granddaughter, Chloe Hopkins; sisters-in-law, Tavie Janney, and Helen Deck. She is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins, and special friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at First Church of God, 5008 Hildebrand Road, NW, Roanoke, VA 24012 with The Rev. Jim Milner officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 1 PM at the church.
