Jeanette Virginia Starkey

Jeanette Virginia Starkey passed away May 13th of 2022 at the age of 100. She was born April 20th 1922 to Harrison and Onie Willie of Callaway Virginia. Mrs. Starkey was the wife of Ben Lewis Starkey who preceded her in death. She was the mother to eight children and two of them, Joyce Arrington, and Barbara Lascola preceded her in death. Surviving children are Marie Bragg, Aubrey Sloan, Gayle Sprott, Michael Starkey, Steve Starkey and Angela Laszaro-Molina. She also had 21 grandchildren and a multitude of great grandchildren. She was a member of Sandy Ridge Baptist Church and a longtime resident of Franklin County. A woman of faith and strong determination who will be missed by those who cared deeply for her. Mrs. Starkey will be cremated and her remains interred at Flint Hill Methodist Church. A graveside service for friends and family will be held at a later date.
