Jeff Smithers

Dallas Jeffrey (Jeff) Smithers, age 53 of Rocky Mount left this world to be with his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 with his family by his side at his home. Jeff loved life and he enjoyed gardening, fishing, cooking and spending time with his family. He also loved all of his animals especially his cat, Tibbs. Jeff owned and operated his own concrete foundation business for many years. He was preceded in death by his little sister, Robin Lynn Smithers; father, Dallas Smithers; grandparents, Annie and Sam Musgrove and Dallas, Sr. and Katherine Smithers. He is survived by his son, James (Boaty) and wife April; his grandchildren, Kirsten, Gage and Josh; mother, Victoria; brother, Ricky (Tianna); seven sisters, Pam (William), Crickett, Debra (Danny), Polly, Lisa, Tammy (Darryl), Jo (Reggie); many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends,. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 31, 2015 from Crossroads Community Church, 614 Bonbrook Mill Road, Rocky Mount with Pastor Rick Smithers officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Cemetery, Route 122 in Wirtz. The family will receive friends Friday, October 30th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church.
