Jewell E. Altice

Jewell E. Altice of Rocky Mount passed away on Monday, July 27, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond J. Altice, Sr. and nine siblings. She is survived by her children, Ray Altice (Ann), Betty Rakes (Curtis) and Barry Altice (Debbie); grandchildren, Carla, LeaAnn, Jennifer, Justin, Jason and Karen; 10 great-grandchildren. Jewell was a very loving mother and grandmother and she loved to cook for her family and sharing with others. She will be greatly missed and her family will miss hearing her say “I love you.” Jewell cared for elderly people in her home for about 30 years. The family would like to thank the staff of Rocky Mount Rehab for their loving care and support. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home with Pastor’s Paul Stutzman and Chris Foster officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. on Wednesday.
